Face Nail? I excised this ‘skin tag’ earlier today.  On closer inspection though, it wasn’t so much a skin appendage, rather it was a mass of disfigured, highly keratinized tissue.  The ‘claw’ could have very well been the toe nail from a big animal.  It was as if my patient had badly malformed finger/toe nails growing from his face.  Here’s to the most bizarre cases that come through the doors of PGH.
